Symposium on Measuring Up 2004


Washington, D.C. -- On September 15, the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education will host a symposium at the National Press Club to discuss Measuring Up 2004: The National Report Card on Higher Education.

Measuring Up 2004 measures the nation's and each state's performance in providing education and training beyond high school. For the first time, this edition of Measuring Up will also highlight ten-year trends on higher education performance in the states.

WHAT:Symposium on Measuring Up 2004: The National Report Card on Higher Education

Measuring Up grades the states on their performance of higher education in five key public policy areas: college preparation, college participation, college affordability, college completion, and benefits to the state. Previous national and state-by-state results were released in Measuring Up 2002 and 2000.
