KATHY REEVES BRACCO is an independent education consultant. She previously served as senior policy analyst at the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education and at the California Higher Education Policy Center, where she was project manager for the Centers' studies on higher education governance. Dr. Bracco has also worked for the National Center for Research in Vocational Education and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. She received her bachelor's degree in American Studies from Stanford University and her Masters and Doctorate in Education from the University of California at Berkeley.
MARIO MARTINEZ is currently an associate professor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he teaches in the Higher Education Division in Educational Leadership. Prior to joining the UNLV faculty, he was an assistant professor at New Mexico State University for six years. Dr. Martinez has published in the area of higher education policy as it relates to finance, governance, and performance. He has worked as a consultant for the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education, the Education Commission of the States, and New York University and served in various capacities on a number of Ford-funded initiatives.
